The research and brainstorming/planning of my music marketing project:
At the beginning of the project, one of my partners Berkley Morris decided to make a checklist so our group could see what exactly we had to do by a certain time. This checklist has allowed us to complete each task quickly and efficiently. Our group was inspired by the artist Marshmallow. We wanted to create a logo that not only represented our song but also our artist. My main focal points were the merchandise and social media accounts as they play a humongous role in media marketing. We used several platforms such as Canva, Google Docs, and Google Slides. For the merchandise, such as t-shirts, sweatshirts, hats, beanies, etc. I decided to use Canva because, in my opinion, it allows you to create great-looking designs in a matter of minutes.

Having a group can be challenging at times as everyone has their own opinion and ideas. It is not always easy to come to an agreement so we really had to listen to each other's ideas and to dig deep into which direction we wanted our project to go in. Ultimately, we learned that if we were going to have a successful project everybody's input had some value. I'd like to think that my contributions were important but at the same time, I would never minimize each person's contributions to the project. Using this strategy it has allowed our group to progress in a synergistic manner.
Our next steps will be to edit our music video making sure it compliments the music track that our group selected. We as a group discussed that using cool editing techniques would enhance the overall entertainment value of our music video. As we approach the final days of working on our project our group will continue to diligently work on perfecting the overall look, feel, and vibe of our music video/marketing. We will also prepare for our presentation in class beforehand so we will present the most professional presentation possible. We are excited to showcase our project to our audience in a compelling fashion that will result in a great video experience!
